When it enters operation this year,

Margam Green Energy will use waste

wood to generate renewable electricity to power homes and businesses

in the region. Margam Green Energy will directly employ 30 people.

Benefiting from good road and rail connections and access

to the electricity distribution network,

Margam is ideally

located for a state-of-the-art biomass energy power station.

Margam Green Energy is owned by Glennmont

Partners, one of Europe’s largest investment fund

managers that exclusively focuses on investments in

clean energy infrastructure in the UK and Europe.

In partnership with Neath Port Talbot Council, Glennmont

Partners has established the Margam Community Fund that

is already supporting a range of community projects in the area

and this Fund will continue to support the local community for

many years to come.
